Fortalea Law PLLC is pleased to announce its launch as a New York-based international law firm dedicated to international arbitration, cross-border litigation, enforcement of awards and judgments, and natural resources.
Fortalea Law was founded by Claudia Linares, a lawyer with 15 years of professional experience at the crossroads of international arbitration, litigation finance, and energy law. Before founding Fortalea Law, Claudia built and led the international arbitration and litigation vertical at Parabellum Capital, one of the world’s leading litigation funders, where she held a worldwide mandate for the sourcing, development, and management of investments in complex, high-value international disputes. Over the course of her over eight years in litigation finance, she assessed hundreds of cases across the world, earning recognition from Chambers & Partners and Leaders League in their Litigation Funding: International Arbitration rankings.
Fortalea Law brings to every client matter a perspective that goes beyond traditional legal practice — combining deep legal expertise with an insider understanding of how disputes are funded, optimized, and resolved.
The firm serves corporations, state-owned entities, and individual claimants across Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
“Fortalea Law was born from a simple conviction: that the best outcomes in complex disputes require more than legal expertise — they require an understanding of how disputes are resolved, how to optimize case strategy, and how to turn a legal asset into real value.
I’m incredibly proud of what we built at Parabellum, and I’ll continue working closely with the team there. This next step is about expanding what I can offer — to more clients, in more contexts, with the full weight of everything I’ve learned along my 15 years of professional practice.”
